Stage 2 Excursion - Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre

Dear Parents/Carers, Students in 3/4A, 3/4G, 3/4L, and 3/4S are invited to attend an excursion to the Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre on the 13th May 2025. Students will travel by bus, which are equipped with seat belts. The students will be attending this excursion as part of our science unit, Classification of Living Things. Students will undertake a bushwalk though the Field of Mars Reserve. As they walk through diverse ecosystems, the young ecologists will observe various habitats, recording the interactions between living organisms and their non-living surroundings, such as soil, water and air. Date: Tuesday, 13 May 2025 Time: 9.00 – 3.00pm Venue: Field of Mars Reserve – Pittwater Road, East Ryde. Transport: By bus; bus leaves school at 9:00am and returns by 3:00pm Cost: $40.00 Food/drink: Students will not be able to purchase food. Students need to bring their own food and water for recess and lunch. As there are no bins, all student waste to be taken home by students. Clothing: Students need to wear full sports uniform and school hat. Please pay via the payment link on School Bytes or in person at the front office between 8:30am and 2:30pm by Friday 2nd May 2025. (Note, EFTPOS only. Cash will not be accepted). If financial assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our school office to arrange a meeting with the principal.
